As previously announced we have at least doubled the hardware each node has within reseller central to quad core servers with 4GB of RAM. In addition to that upgrade we will be provisioning servers with a RAID 1 setup from this point on. We will also be adding RAID 1 to as many of the older servers as possible and will create new threads in the Network section as servers are upgraded. RAID 1 basically mirrors the primary hard drive to a slave drive at all times in case of hardware failure which can result in hours of downtime as seen in the past. For more information on RAID 1 please see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standar..._levels#RAID_1 |

IN an effort to increase security and reduce loads, we are now forcing SMTP authentication.
This means you will not be able to send mail from any random location, or just because you authenticate to pop3.
If you do not receive an error message, you're already set to go. If you receive an error like "valid rcpt must preceed message 503" or similar, then you need to go into your mail client and check the box that says "My outgoing server requires authentication"
You authenticate by using the same username and password as pop3. |

Hello,
We appreciate your patience over the past few days. We are now running the same PHP on ALL nodes throughout idRooT. The way it works is very simple: Default Version: PHP 5.2.5 Secondary Version: PHP 4.4.7 You can switch to PHP4 by logging into your CPanel (You must be using the X3 CPanel skin to use this feature) and going to "PHP Configration" and changing the version # in the drop down box. - Please make sure the following have been checked before submitting a support request to us.
- All .htaccess files do NOT have any php_value or php_flag lines in it.
- All .htaccess files do NOT have the addhandler enabling php5 as was required before
- No custom php.ini files from before (make a new one if you need to customize features)
- No 777/666 permissions on scripts (not allowed in suexec environment)
- Login to CPanel and go to PHP Configuration page. Toggle between PHP4 and PHP5 to make sure one version does work for you.
- Change all php includes to use full system path, not URL. This has been disabled by PHP for security reasons.
