SMTP Authentication PDF Print E-mail

IN an effort to increase security and reduce loads, we are now forcing SMTP authentication.

This means you will not be able to send mail from any random location, or just because you authenticate to pop3.

If you do not receive an error message, you're already set to go. If you receive an error like "valid rcpt must preceed message 503" or similar, then you need to go into your mail client and check the box that says "My outgoing server requires authentication"

You authenticate by using the same username and password as pop3.
